Rob Floyd, Director General of the Australian Safeguards and Nonproliferation Office (ASNO), Australia and former APSN Chair was one of the keynote speakers during the opening plenary of the 57th Annual Meeting of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM).
Mr. Floyd spoke alongside Anne Harrington, Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), USA and Tero Varjoranta, Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Safeguards at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Austria. The three speakers discussed the connection between science, technology, policy, and culture for effective nuclear materials management. The INMM Annual Meeting was held in July 24-28, 2016 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Mr. Floyd also co-chaired a session on International Safeguards: State-Level Safeguards and presented on Risk Based Approaches to Security and Safeguards at Uranium Mines. Ho Dong Kim from the Korean Atomic Energy Research Institute in the Republic of Korea also co-chaired a session on International Safeguards: Electro-Chemical/Pyroprocessing.
